]]>Did you know that the Santa parade was almost cancelled? Because the organizers found out that the float of Santa Claus failed safety inspection because it was old and the parts are broken.
The organizers created a fund raiser page and Winnipeggers donated money and reach the fund goal before the October deadline.

]]>The Minnesota Wild will be in for a not-so-welcome atmosphere as the “White Out” Winnipeg Jets theme will dominate not just the whole Bell MTS stadium but the whole Winnipeg. People are excited even though the Spring Weather is not cooperative and Minnesota Wild should be scared now.
City of Winnipeg and True North is sponsoring a Winnipeg Jets White Out Street Party. If you have an ample time and wanted to watch Game 1 between the Jets and Wild, you should read the following lists of things you should know about the street party.
1. Southbound Donald Street between Portage Avenue and Graham Avenue will close at noon when party setup begins. It will reopen overnight at about 1 a.m. via cbc.ca
2. Entrance to the White Out party is FREE!
3. You will be able to watch the game live with two big screens – one at each end of the venue.
4. Parking your car will be a headache, walking two or more blocks is the norm.
5. There will be portable toilets and the venue is a non-smoking area.
6. Food trucks, hot chocolate and beer are available for purchases, sorry it’s not free.
7. Planning to bring your furry pets? Sorry but they are not allowed in the venue.
8. Winnipeg police will deploy more personnel to make sure all the Jets fans who will join the event are safe.
9. Traffic will be affected around the area of Bell MTS arena, so make sure to go there early.
10. Make sure to bring a lawn chair for you to sit comfortably while watching the game.
